Fully Alive…Ready to Smile

…recognize the true importance of a single moment in time, the instant when you are fully and completely alive!

It might be time to potty train when…

…you hear your two year old in the other room talking with her sister and it sounds something like this…

“What are you doing Aidan?”

“I’m just pooping.  Just be quiet and wash tv!” (translation: mind your own business and give me some privacy!)

How about telling mommy you have to go and then use the toilet?!  Just a thought.

  2. why bother? just let her continue until she’s old enough to change her own diaper. then she won’t want to poop anywhere but the toilet. no need to stress YOURSELF out about it.

  3. Ruth - Ella…finished? I think yesterday perhaps…She only started when she was 3 and then we had some other physical complications and we’ve only gotten it under control in the last 2 or 3 months.

Gloria - This is what I’m thinking. Let the kid train herself : ) I’m WAY too lazy for that. Or maybe my mom will get tired of it while we’re living here and SHE’LL do it. Hee, hee.

  4. So, just a question, where’s the poop? Was she sitting on a make believe toilet or just in her pants? So cute that Aidy bug is!

  5. Tara - she was wearing a diaper, standing in the living room with her hands on the coffee table, and her face was bright red. I think it gave her better leverage to hold onto something while she…you know…

  6. We’re getting to that stage with Malia too. She will often tell us BEFORE she poops that she has to go. She’ll put her hand on her bum, walk up to us and say “Poop…treat.” Sometimes she’ll go on the potty for a treat, but most of the time she runs away and still just does it in her diaper.
