Can YOU run faster than a text message?
I can : ) Yesterday I saw a friend down the street working and thought to myself “We should see if he wants some supper since he appears to be working through the supper hour.” I sent a quick text message “Do you want supper?” I wait. I wait. I wait some more. That’s odd, I always get a prompt response. Maybe he’s too busy working to respond. Okay. I decide to run over and get an answer in person.
I go into the house, we chat for a few minutes and suddenly his phone starts ringing. Laughing, he looks at me and says, “Well, at least I know it’s not you, cause you are here!” A strange look passes over his face as he looks at the phone. “It IS you!”
HUH?!?
Apparently I beat my text message over : )

hilarious! technology, ain’t it great?

That’s too funny. Weird how there was that much of a delay.

I’ve had the same thing happen at work with email.
Before I get the email, the sender has already called me to question the details of the email.
I don’t believe however, that you could beat the text message across provinces (HEHEHE).

How funny is that! You’re like LIGHTNING! lol…
I have found that those towers there are pretty weird. My phone will not be able to call out, yet I either receive a voicemail msg (without it ringing) or accept the occassional call. And texts take a LONG time to send. DH’s work phone is better bc he is with a different provider.

That’s hilarious!
I received a message on my facebook wall yesterday about 2pm-ish, and I got the email notification at 10:30pm. Yup. Technology, while lovely, sure makes me giggle sometimes.

Faster than a speeding bullet… You’re like Super Grover! And in my books, that’s pretty cool.
