In the Dark
Apparently there’s something about Earth Hour today…turn out your lights for an hour and show your support for climate change. Well, sucky weather made our power go out for 50 minutes at one point this evening and then for about 8 minutes again a little while later. So if you excuse me I’ll just go turn out my lights for another 2 minutes and we should be good : ) What do you think, does that all count? I’ve done my part, did you?

I thought the same thing…lol except our power was out the full hour so I didn’t need to add the extra 2 minutes..heehee!

I’d say you we’re good.
How ironic that the power would go out on the same day as EARTH HOUR. Go figure.

The irony? It is killin’ me.
I mentioned it over dinner, but Neil wasn’t up for it. We spent all day working at the new house and hauling stuff around and by golly, he earned the right to watch Dr. Who episodes before bed tonight. =P

Yes, all of us young adults did our part for Earth Hour about 2 hours early because of the power outage. It’s been determined that having a potluck in the semi-dark is just as fun as with the lights working.
And, did you know that a telephone pole exploded on 2nd Street South? Someone actually saw the top of it pop off. I saw it hanging in the wires a little while later. True story.

I did it!! We went out for dinner, so we did it!!
I was anxious to see if Cham-bana was a dark-out but where we sitting there wasn’t a good look-out spot to the outdside. I’m still glad I am able to say I contributed in some way!
