Anyone wanna venture to guess what THAT is behind our house? AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!
I was sitting on my deck enjoying the beautiful weather when I glanced up. I noticed inordinate amounts of traffic going down the gravel road beside our house and suddenly my attention was riveted to the horizon. Is it smoke? Is it rain? Um, Jer? Jer…
We’ve never had tornadoes around our parts that I can remember until the last 2 years. Last year it went right over our house (wasn’t touching the ground and it took our neighbors trampoline for a bounce) and this year we got front row seats to the action. Thank the Lord that it disappeared back into the heavens within a few minutes.

I’m glad it went right back up again

We saw it too. And then gathered in the front yard to see what it was doing rather than run for the safety of the basement! Crazy.

That’s a great picture of the action. Still hard to believe that I actually saw it with my own eyes too.
Hey — do you mind if I ‘borrow’ this picture for my blog post? I’ll wait to hear from you before I use it…

Yikes! Being from Texas you’d think I’d seen my share, but nope. Been close, but thankfully never in the midst of one. SO glad that sucker at your place went back up! Great pic though.

Yeah, NOT a sight I’d want to see. We had one here last year (while we were away), but from what I understand, that’s the first time anyone’s ever seen one up here. I’m happy with those statistics!!

Crazy stuff, I didn’t even notice all the drama until my sis in law called to make sure we were all okay and I say WHAA??
Great pic! Scary stuff!! If Conrad would have been home he would have chased the thing!

Oh my!
I have never seen a real tornado – only on TV. Not saying I want to…just saying.
The picture is pretty cool.

I’m hoooome!
The tornado — a little freaky and a little neat!
Growing up on the farm we watched one go through one of our fields. I remember my dad coming inside the house and telling my brother and I to go with him to watch it. So we moseyed outside the house and stood and the sidewalk and watched it go through the field next to us. It really neat.
But of course I do realize how tragic they can be.
What a great picture
