to my new deck : )

Ain’t she a beaut?  I love it.  Too bad we’ve had wicked gale force winds pretty much every day since, well since Christmas, really, but in the last few weeks it’s just been wind, wind, and more wind!  It sucks.  Now I stare longingly at the pretty furniture and all my lovely plants, wishing I could be enjoying my new little oasis.  Hopefully this week the wind won’t be so bad.

My goal this week is to learn how to make chocolate martinis and then have a girls night on my deck once it warms up.  This also means I must buy some martini glasses and a shaker…how fun.  I’ve decided to collect martini glasses.  I have a friend who collects them and I’ve always thought it such a neat collection, so I’m going to copy her.  I mean who wouldn’t want to drink something out of this…

or this…

Yeah, I know.  So sweet.

Once I’ve mastered the art of martini mixing you’re ALL invited.  Well, maybe not all at once…then I’ll need a bigger deck.

Oooh that is one sweet deck! Here’s hoping the wind dies down and that you don’t get the week of rain we’ve just had so that you can enjoy both the deck, the furniture and those yummy martinis! I would highly suggest a chambord-tini. Okay, it’s really just chambord with 7-up but it’s in a martini glass … does that count? Me thinks, oui! It’s candy in a drink, really :)

Purty deck furniture! I’m sure you’re going to have a great time out there this summer. There’s no way I can have anything like that. My cats would rip out all the stuffing from the cushions!

your deck is lovely. i am jumping in Louise’s car on the way past my house… i always enjoy the pomegranate martinis at Earls, think you can be friendly with one of those ugly ugly bartenders and get the recipe? ;)

I love the furniture. I’m thinking about getting a little bistro set for my tiny little patio and this deck has me drooling with jealousy.

I’ve had an Appletini before, and I think it’s green apple schnapps and vodka??? Whatever it was? Delish-e-ous!

    Very nice!!

I’ve always been a bit leery of deck furniture with actual fabric. I know they say it’s weatherproof, but i’m always skeptical. Let me know how they hold up under pressure!
