***Okay, I’ve hopefully fixed the ability to see the video…because what good is SEEING what I’m saying if you can’t view the video?! If the video still isn’t working, try this link to go to the video on YouTube.***
Linda over at 2nd Cup of Coffee is hosting this carnival so that bloggers everywhere can be seen in their natural habitat…in real life…heard…whatever. You know what I’m saying. Now you can SEE what I’m saying. You can see me saying…stuff. It really gets quite deep. I get into thoughts on socks. Yup. Socks. Deep, deep, deep. Okay, not deep. Just a slip of the tongue which makes me look quite dense, actually. When I first decided to do this video I was thinking of doing a song and dance. There was even a cowboy hat involved. Then I thought perhaps I would learn how to do Origami (Ha! You probably all did a double take when you read that word, didn’t you? I know I did when I reread this post, that word just, um, yeah) and do a teaching video (somehow that just seems creepy now…). But it just never happened (likely a good thing). Instead, you are stuck with me talking useless drivel. This is my first attempt at a video blog post and it’s a SAD attempt at best. I have to apologize for my lack of eye contact and rather crazy facial expressions…although, that’s probably how I look all the time, which makes me a little worried about what the people who know me think about me. I only say “awkward” 3 or 4 times in the video, so it can’t be TOO bad : ) And whoever said that the camera adds 10 pounds, do you know if it adds poundage to your lips? Or are my lips really that HUGE?! Wow! When I talk they seem to have a life of their own. I think perhaps I get a double chin because my lips weigh my face down : ) Okay, now you can go and laugh at me. I give you permission.
**disclaimer: I’m not actually a ditz IRL, just so y’all know. I was nervous. Okay. Go.
Alligator huh? I’ve had rattle snake. I’m going to go out on alimb and say they were both chewy and did NOT taste like chicken.
Nice to see ya!
Blessings.
I agree you are cute, but man who was that actually talking? You should act like the camera is your friend then you won’t be so ‘awkward’ hehe but really how cool to have a video blog! hope to see that more often…
and where did you eat all that crazy food??
Yes, yes, I know, if you know me for real, that wasn’t totally like me. I was SOOO nervous. I get total stage fright and it’s really sad. Okay…that’s all the excuses I have : )
That is too funny, wow I never have seen you when you have been searching for something to say! Lol! But I do have to say that the face expressions are definatley you in real life and I know you too well so don’t go in the bathroom mirror and start talking to yourself to see if you really do make those faces, just take my word. Hee, hee.
Well, you knocked our socks off! Great job, Erin; don’t be so hard on yourself. This was fun, wasn’t it? Have fun blog hopping and on your vacation. See, now you know how to post your vids!
Oh wow. You really are expressive aren’t you? And I was totally hypnotized by the movement of your head back and forth. But in a good way.
Actually, it reminded me a lot of how I imagine those internet dating videos to be (I say imagine because the hubby won’t let me sign on to check them out). So maybe everybody looks super excited on video. (Not that that’s a bad thing!)
You are hysterical! I want to go to the conference with you. But I would probably laugh at inappropriate times. Maybe you are lucky I am not coming.
My socks wer blessed off by your vid.
That was fun! I am going to a ladies conference on November 14th & 15th. My husband is having a cow about it because November 15th is opening day of deer season here in Michigan. Have you ever eaten deer? It is okay. I must cook it with alot of onions to make it eatable though. But back to the conference… I am super excited about it! I hope you have a blast at yours! It was nice to “see” you!
Erin you remind me so much of my cousin who lives in Auckland
As i was watching Our Little Man was sitting beside me I said “shes cool” as you finished up and Our Little Man agreed with me so Erin you have at least 2 fans
wish i had a webcam and knew how to put videos on my blog
you made me smile when you said youd locked the door
have a totally excellent time on your road trip
praying for safety on the road and a blessed time
Hi! I am still just getting around to all the videos from Tuesday’s “I See What You’re Saying”. I have not proceeded in numerical order- what does that say about me?? This has been a blast. And you are almost exactly the age of my first-born child. So, no I don’t feel old at all. She is my best friend.
It’s nice to meet you!!
Video blogging! COOL!! That was awesome. I wouldn’t be able to eat kangaroo either. Alligator, perhaps, and yes, only if it tasted like dumpling sauce…haha.
I should video blog, too…now I’m thinking of how I shall speak to my dresser.
WOOT! for road trips and Joyce Meyer! Have loads of fun.
Omgoodness, that was the funnest thing ever. I felt like you were sitting across from me at the table…again. Neil saw some of it and said in his “I-think-I’m-so-funny” voice, “Erin is retarded” And I laughed out loud when you said “I like to talk, that’s why I blog”. You made my day It was so great seeing you . I would never in a million years do that! I’d have nothing to say. I would just stare dumbfounded. I’ll just let you keep doing the talking. I do better at listening anyway
Oh, and you looked so hot, missy! I loved your hair and everything. xo
Okay, I also have to say how cute I think it is that you did the video 5 times. I’m sure they were all fabulous. You are the cutest in the world. I love ya and miss ya.
I just tried to watch it, but it said “this video is no longer available”!

You should do this more often. Perhaps next time in a hat and wig.
