Beef stroganoff crockpot

- 2 pound cubed beef
- one teaspoon salt
- 1/four teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (make sure it’s not OU Fish)
- one 1/two cup beef broth or stock
- one tablespoon ketchup
- 1/3 cup flour
- six-7 tablespoon apple juice, white wine or water
- 4-eight ounce sliced mushrooms
- 1/two cup parve sour cream (I employed Tofutti)
Place the stew meat, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth and ketchup. Pour over the meat. Cook for 7-9 hours on reduced or 4-five hrs on high.
About thirty minutes ahead of serving, mix the flour and apple juice in a tiny bowl, whisking vigorously to combine nicely. The roux should be thick but even now pourable so include a tablespoon of apple juice or water at a time to thin, if essential. Pour the flour mixture into the slow cooker, whisking quickly to combine in the roux with the stew meat and juices and to keep away from lumps. Include the mushrooms and stir. Cook on higher for 30 minutes.
Stir in cup sour cream right ahead of serving. Serve above pasta, rice or baked potatoes.
