Roasted veggies oven
These roasted greens are super simple to make! Mixed greens are tossed in an herbed mustard sauce, then roasted till perfectly tender and charred.
These roasted vegetables are created in a sheet pan, and make a best side dish for any healthful meal!
I don’t know about you, but I’m big on meal planning. Every week I sit down and prepare out our dinners for the approaching week, as effectively as what recipes I’ll be generating and testing for The Chunky Chef… then I make my grocery checklist from there. Sounds super organized correct? Completely not lol.
For some purpose, I have no problem coming up with the principal dishes, but I usually seem to be to either totally fail to remember the sides, or stick to the exact same old steamed green beans. Major bummer!
Generally my kiddos will only consume their veggies if they’re covered in cheese, or practically dripping with butter… but that doesn’t do any individual any good. So I’ve started out roasting much more and more veggies, and they are Tasty that way!
These oven roasted vegetables are loaded with incredible tangy and savory flavors. When combined with the natural sweetness from the butternut squash and cauliflower, it’s a flavor powerhouse!!
WHAT ARE THE Greatest Veggies FOR ROASTING?
Just about any vegetable! Here are my favorites:
- Root veggies (potatoes, carrots, parsnips, sweet potatoes, and so on)
- Broccoli, brussels sprouts, zucchini, summertime squash, onions, cauliflower, bell peppers, and so forth.
HOW TO ROAST Greens IN THE OVEN
- Set your oven temperature pretty substantial. The high temperature permits for the great colour and texture, with out drying the veggies out.
- Toss the veggies with oil and spices, and use your hands to mix nicely. Your hands are the greatest tool here, so you can kind of massage the flavors into the veggies and make sure they’re entirely coated.
- Use parchment or foil for straightforward cleanup. Natural parchment paper is my personal favored!
- Stir the veggies about halfway through so they can get crispy on the two sides.
